License Restrictions:
This SPSS license is available to OSU faculty and staff only for institutional purposes. It may be installed on home workstations belonging to full-time employees; however, home use requires the purchase of a separate license. We have a limited number of licenses available for this software, which will be assigned on a first come/first serve basis.
Our site license includes the following SPSS products:
- SPSS Statistics Base (now PASW Statistics Base)
- SPSS Missing Values (now PASW Missing Values)
- SPSS Regression (now PASW Regresstion)
- SPSS Advanced Statistics (now PASW Advanced Statistics)
If you have output files from version 15 (ending in .spo), you will need to download and install the free Legacy Viewer from SPSS in order to open the files in version 17 (note that you will only be able to view and edit these files, not add new data to them – it is recommended to regenerate the data files in version 17 to be able to add data). Click on the Downloads tab on this web page, then click on the Legacy Viewer link in the list of downloads. This step will need to be done after you have installed the version 17 software.
Notes:
NEW! SPSS statistics software has a new name: PASW (predictive analytic software). If you see anything named PASW (as with our 17.0.2 patch), it was formerly known as SPSS. The software parent company is still known as SPSS Inc.
Supported Operating Systems (NOTE: Windows 7 will not be supported until version 18.0)
SPSS (PASW) software is available for student use at the Student Computing Facility.
