Research Services Available

COSINe has many services which are available to the research community.  Clifton Johnson is our Research Systems Engineer, and is available to assist researchers in the following areas, as well as many others:

• Grant Technical Review - Assist in writing in sufficient funds for needed computing power (no charge)
• Establish and maintain a shared/virtual server when you need to provide data/services, but can't afford or justify the costs associated with a dedicated server
• 24/7 System monitoring (included with any server hosted in the COSINe server room)
• Ongoing maintenance and support for lab/project servers
• Secure reliable online data storage (see services/fees section)
• Data/machine backup to tape (see services/fees section)
• High Performance Cluster access (Check current cluster load/usage)
• Custom scripting and programming for data analysis
• Custom Web Programming (ie. php, Drupal, other)
• Training and support for students/research staff on proper usage of software and infrastructure
