A network loop on a mini-switch in a user office in Cordley caused a broadcast storm that overloaded the building network infrastructure. This effectively locked up all traffic to and from Cordley, resulting in loss of access to COSINe servers, and loss of all network connectivity from inside Cordley.
THE OBLIGATORY ADMONISHMENT: We request that users limit any contact with network connections to plugging/unplugging network cables to/from their PC only. Always request COSINe assistance in changing connections to wall plates or office mini-switches.
