How do I connect to network drives with MacOS X?
You can connect to network drives using our network drive mapping utility located here: Network drive utility
You will be prompted for your Science username and password, after which you will be able to download the file to run the utility. You simply need to choose which drive you want to connect to and enter your Science username and password again.
Manual directions to connect to your science T: or Z: network drive from a Macintosh:First click "Finder" on the dock.

Then click "Connect to Server..." from the "Go" menu at the top of the screen.

Type "smb://storage.science.oregonstate.edu" as the "Server Address" to connect to your T: drive, or "smb://sci-main.science.oregonstate.edu" to connect to your Z: drive and click the "Connect" button.
If connecting to your T: drive, choose your department from the drop down menu and click the "OK" button. If connecting to your Z: drive, choose "home" from the drop down menu and click the "OK" button.

Enter "SCIENCE" as the workgroup, your username and password (the same as your windows science account) and click the "OK" button.

The share will open in finder and allow you to read and write files. If you are connecting to your "Z" drive you must double click the folder for your department, and then double click the folder for your username to see your Z drive.
