Mapping Printers via the Print Server from Non-Domain Computers

  1. Open Start Menu → Run and type
    \\cosprint.science.oregonstate.edu into the box, then hit OK.

  2. In the user name and password prompts type SCIENCE\username and the corresponding password. Replace username with your own SCIENCE Windows username. Click OK.

  3. The next screen has a list of all available printers on the COSPRINT server. Scroll down until you find the printer you need.


  4. Once you find the appropriate printer, double click the icon to install it. If you receive a warning message similar to the one below, click Yes to continue with the installation.


  5. Upon successful installation, a box similar to the one below will appear. You may close this box. This printer is now mapped to your computer and you should be able to send print jobs to it.


  6. To install additional printers repeat steps 3 through 5.
