E-mail Delivery Options

NOTE: These instructions apply only to non-Exchange e-mail accounts

1. Go to http://secure.science.oregonstate.edu


2. Login with your science username and password
   
   


3. Select the E-mail Delivery Options
   
   
   The options listed do the following:
   • Enable SPAM Filter?
     This will enable a spam filter that will place spam into a “junk mail” folder.
   • Forward new e-mail?
     This will enable forwarding to the address you specify.
   • Keep a local copy?
     If you are forwarding your mail, you can choose to keep a local copy of your email on the science server as well as the account you’re forwarding to.
   • Enable vacation system?
     This will enable a vacation system which notifies users that you will not be checking your email. You can type the message they receive in the appropriate message box. To disable the vacation system, uncheck the vacation system check box.
     *note* if you are forwarding your email, you can’t enable the vacation system. Call COSINe (737-5574) for any questions.
   • Addresses you wish the Vacation Service to Respond for:
     If you have several aliases for your account, be sure to add all your science email aliases to the message box to insure everyone receives your vacation notification emails. Separate each email address you wish to use with spaces.
